Sisters {Just Because}

I met Stephanie a couple months ago when we both started working as NICU nurses at a near by hospital. Stephanie recently moved to here from Florida, and has made herself  right at home, even though she knew almost no one in DC. We are able to carpool to work, and it's been great to have to her to sympathize with about all the new experiences on the unit.

Steph and her sister, Crystal, are very close and asked me to do a photo shoot of them together to surprise their mom for Christmas. I was thrilled that they asked me because they both are so beautiful, I couldn't have asked for prettier models!

And this one is for Crystal :)

Baby Gabriel

It was such a pleasure to meet this lovely family. One of my favorite parts of being a newborn photographer is getting an inside view of such a special time in a family's life together. I love meeting the grandma's and the family dog or cat and seeing where this new baby will call home. I got to take some photos of their handsome 3-year-old son, and discovered that it's a lot harder than it looks to get a 3-year-old and a newborn to sit still and look good at the same time! Hope you enjoy these photos!

A Sweet Baby Girl

I did this newborn shoot a few weeks ago but I wanted to post some of her pictures. This little girl came a few weeks early so she was extra sleepy and was a picture-perfect model.

Welcome to My Blog

So I finally did it. I made myself a blog. I had been putting it off for a while, but I knew I could no longer, so Welcome! Thanks for dropping by.

This blog is mainly to display my photography work.
I began pursuing photography when my sister-in-law, Julia, was pregnant with her third baby and wanted some maternity pictures. I found that I loved creating beautiful images that were unique and meaningful to her… and it started growing from there.
Here are a few pictures of my dear friend, Lauren, and her baby boy when he was 11 days old.
